Greetings readers,
Today is my final full 24 hour day in the United States of America for what I am planning to be nearly 9 months!! Can you believe that that means that tomorrow is my day of take-off, already?? Wow how the time flies and an extreme 'wow' for the way the Lord provides, not only financially but even more importantly the way that so many of you have come alongside me, my family, and other loved ones to provide means for encouragement, laughter, and prayerful support. I welcome a continuation of this in abundance, please!
For those of you unaware, the United Nation's building in the capital of Nigeria was under attack by a suicide bomber just this last week and to top that off back in Iowa I had numerous incidences of being reminded to "warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." As I fly out of Sioux Falls tomorrow morning and begin to embark on the journey that each of you in your own way has added to my equipping for, I pray those words from 1 Thessalonians 5 not only upon myself but every last one of you that we would not lie asleep when He calls us to be awake (physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually) and that we would be aware of the ways in which we are called to further walk in obedience.
Father take any fears, anxieties, or stresses of the unknown from me and my loved ones. Teach us through these steps how to better trust and walk by faith. Show us through Your faithfulness in these measures oh God that You have still not forgotten the promises of old but are readily prepared to further your work through our partnering with those in Nigeria. Pour out your blessings as we faithfully pursue a life that abides in You and the mysteries You have yet to unfold through these steps into the unknown.
In Him, B.Rose
